About Me

Hey everyone!

I’m so glad you found your way here — welcome to June Bug’s Cup!

I’d love to share a little of my story and how this dream came to life.

My name is Mackenzie Kemenah. I’m 21 years old, a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in digital marketing from a small Christian university just outside of Detroit, Michigan, where I also had the joy of finishing my collegiate volleyball career. Outside of the coffee trailer, I work as a freelance social media manager and marketing enthusiast. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me with my family, traveling to race tracks, or soaking up time outdoors.

But at the heart of everything is June Bug’s Cup.

The name is deeply personal to me. My grandmother, June — nicknamed June Bug — was my everything growing up. She was the kind of woman whose strength, kindness, and love filled every room she walked into. I spent countless hours with her: sleepovers, baking sessions, shopping trips, long talks in her sunroom — she was my safe place. In 2022, we lost her after her courageous fight with cancer, and there hasn’t been a day since that I haven’t missed her. Naming my business after her felt like the most natural way to keep her close, and to share her love with others.

Fast forward to this past summer: I bought an old horse trailer off Facebook Marketplace, and from there, the vision for June Bug’s Cup was born. Coffee has always been one of my favorite things (and one of Nana’s, too!). From the very beginning, naming the business after her kept coming to mind. I like to think it was God’s way of giving me a nudge — and her way of reminding me she’ll always be with me, in every cup I serve.

Today, I’m pouring my heart and soul into this little trailer, not just to honor her memory, but to bring people together over great coffee, fun dirty sodas, and community. I truly love meeting new faces, having conversations through the window, and sharing a drink that might just make someone’s day a little brighter.

Thank you so much for supporting not just a small business, but a big dream. Your support means more than words can say.

I can’t wait to see you at my next event — and as always…

Rooted in love, poured with purpose. <3
